DZ Doodles Smell-y-Good Gift Card, Redneck Stemware, Chore Chart, Felt Flowers, Twine Storage Design, Transparency With Color Pencils

Hi Doodle Followers,
Now that March is here, the most common topic of conversation seems to be weddings and babies. Almost everyone has a wedding to attend or is anxiously awaiting the birth of a new family member. And as any card maker-enthusiast knows, a beautifully handmade greeting card for the couple or baby is the perfect way to mark either of these milestones.

Then again, every card maker knows you don't need a reason to share-a-card. Any and every reason is the perfect reason to grab your blocks-paper-stamps-n-inks. However, in keeping with the season, I've included some craft ideas that would be great projects for gift-giving for the family or for any newlywed's decor, or just great gift-giving ideas!

Don't you hate a dried-out-peeps?! Here's a package gift-giving project that keeps them fresh throughout the Easter time event as well as limits your consumption! Eighteen25 (Jamie-Jodie-Jen) fit peeps chicks perfectly into a snack size ziplock bag; Ziplock Snack Bags 6-1/2" X 3-1/4" then apply with glue or tape the FREE Download Peeps Topper they've included in their tutorial!

I mentioned weddings but there's a whole-lot-of anniversaries to think about as well! After seeing a version of this card design on some blog, and forgive me for forgetting so that I can give credit to them for the "tweet" idea, I created one for my parent's wedding anniversary in May! Thank goodness I didn't sell all my crochet embellishments (mom loves it when I use my crochet stuff on their cards) and had some ready-made one's to choose from! The original idea used a rolled-paper-flower and their card was the 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" that I used as well. The bird cage/bird cut out images are from My Favorite Things Contempo Cage Die-Namics and is also available with a matching stamp set too.

Another fun little Sunflower Girl card I created for an Autumn Birthday!

A fun springtime basket project is easy to make with your child, or for your child. Vicki Smith shows how easy it is to use squares to create the pattern for this project! Great idea for bridal or baby shower centerpiece.

Decorative punches make this basket design using the square's pattern project much more feminine and fancier, and the photo tutorial is available at Pane, Amore e Creativita!

Kristina Werner's video tutorial will show you how she created this HEART FLOWER for this card project using a circle cutter and heart punch!

CHOCOLATE EASTER BUNNY RING! These stylish Chocolate Easter Bunny Rings let you show off your holiday spirit without melting in your hand or causing bunny-harming-remorse. Assorted styles of the classic bunny poses; side profile or front facing bunny and four different spring ribbon colors. The ring is silvertoned and adjustable and the bunny is made of hard plastic. One ring. One size fits most. Bunny measures 1.25 inches tall X .5 inches wide ... choose your favorite color bow and they'll select the bunny's pose for you! A Mother's Day Corsage Made With Paper! Or a bridal parties shower corsage  ... baby shower corsage for mom and grandma's?! Whichever be the case this paper flower is made with white card stock; edges sponged in a soft pink and misted lightly with a glimmery, shimmery Champagne Smooch Spritz, using Stampin' Up Holiday Ornament paper punch. Spritz a bit of rose scent onto it to make it seem real!

At Bubble and Sweet the rainbows keep coming even after St. Patrick's Day with this lovely pretty pastel layer cake. Instructions to make this darling pastel-y-ruffle rainbow cake, which is a great Easter idea, can be found HERE. This would be a terrific idea for a bridal or baby shower!

Every year it seems I share-a-card with family and friend's that's a same-ole-same-ole wish design ... when sometimes I think about giving a little something, instead of money, as well. When it comes to perfume (or even a jewelry piece) you never know what a person wants, likes or dislikes.

So, with no real plan in mind other than a match book/box idea, I finally came up with a "card" and "gift" design; a match box/book - accordion sided: with an assortment of 5 Avon perfume samples enclosed - card front. I call it an all-in-one, Dizzy Designs SMELL-Y-GOOD GIFT CARD. Size: 3-1/8"L x 2"W x 1/2"Thick; filled with 5 various Avon perfume samples, and come with a poster board handmade white box; easily mailed in your 7"L x 5"W bubble envelope. All elements to this Dizzy Designs Smell-y-Good Gift Box are cut-by-hand, colored using colored pencils and dimension-ally applied to the front; card flap. This would make for a great gift anytime, or for Mother's Day, grandma, birthday's, thank yous, bridesmaid's, friend's, wedding/baby shower prize, party favors, and the list goes on!

If you've been watching the whole season of the Bachelor and found its murdered your brain cells, you may have found the hometown date episode with Linzi's family inspiring. Throughout the evening the family kept cheersing with very strange wine glasses. They were a stemmed Mason jar called "Redneck Wine Glasses". Pretty funny, but politically incorrect and there's a wide range of selling prices; mine are reasonably priced with added accessories to over humor-ize each one.

They are prefect for a picnic or for an outdoor party/event ... Father's Day or any guy's birthday. Great gift's for the bride and Groom, wedding/1st anniversary, or any anniversary where the couple has everything!
My REDNECK MASON STEMWARE WINE/BEVERAGE GLASS design is the top-of-the-line stemware from the legendary Nebraska! (tee-hee-hee) :0)

I've always wanted to create those scratch-off cards but never knew how to create the scratch-off-part-to-scratch-off! Yellow Umbrella Designs has the scratch paint recipe; the key paint ingredient is metallic acrylic, and an easy-to-follow instructions, plus this 3.5" x 5" hearts scratch card to download with printer how-to-instructions.

CHORE CHART for multiple kids ... an organized classy fits anywhere chore chart made of wooden 2x4 (3-1/2x3-1/2 chunks) - made to match your decor and leave on your counter, it is a clever subliminal message for kids, especially during the upcoming summer months of no school to read all week, "Chores are fun" ... one day they will agree! Although wood 2x4 chunks were cut and drilled in the original project at HowDoesShe?com; on a lighter-note, Styrofoam, foam board, or poster board construction could easily replace it.

It may seem that I'm getting a bit felt-y lately but I've come across so many great felt ideas that I just have to share them with you! These flowers, whether they're used on cards, scrapbooking pages, or general craft projects are fun to re-create when the patterns are so generously being offered by, How Joyful. There's also links to designer Joy's Poppies PDF Pattern and Camelia PDF Pattern tutorial's!

Austin TX where there's the cutest food trailers around town, inspired Rebecca Roach/Frybread Quilts and Cuterie to create this, Lonely Teardrops No More little sewing box to bring a little bit of her adopted hometown into her sewing room. MODA BAKESHOP; SLICED Audition is a sewing competition by Moda Bake Shop. It may even be an inspirational piece for paper artisans too!

PRINGLES CONTAINERS, do you know they have something in common with TWINE!

Using grab-n-go Pringles containers Michele, at The Scrap Shopp, created a decorative storage system for the ever-so-popular Baker's Twine rage ...  this is not only "recycling" ... this is getting organized!

Cathy Andronicou, over at the PENNY BLACK site, has a video tutorial that shows how-to-stamp white ink onto acetate (transparency) then color over the top with colored pencil for a stunning result!
